Travel Magazine has named Cartersville, GA, one of the 15 best small towns to visit in the USA for its museum-rich resources, also recognizing it as a gateway to Atlanta and to the north Georgia mountains. This makes it an ideal spot for cultural, sports and outdoor enthusiasts. It is the smallest town in the USA with three Smithsonian Affiliate museums. Come to our meet-up and visit 1, 2 or 3 museums. This is a pay-on-your-own meet-up, but you’ll be with retiree friends and colleagues during your visit.

We will meet for lunch and a short program on the Georgia Highlands College (GHC) campus. We will be welcomed by the Cartersville Campus Dean, Dr. Leslie Johnson.

- November 3 is the kickoff for the holiday season in downtown Cartersville boutiques at the annual Holiday Open House shopping event. The event focuses on shopping deals, drinks, and desserts.
- November 4-5 is the Christmas Village Cartersville event. The event includes holiday shopping, bites and beverages, and door prizes. While entry is usually $5.00/person, we have free entry.
