GA-HERO Nov. 3 Meetup in Cartersville

Travel Magazine has named Cartersville, GA, one of the 15 best small towns to visit in the USA for its museum-rich resources, also recognizing it as a gateway to Atlanta and to the north Georgia mountains. This makes it an ideal spot for cultural, sports and outdoor enthusiasts. It is the smallest town in the USA with three Smithsonian Affiliate museums. Come to our meet-up and visit 1, 2 or 3 museums. This is a pay-on-your-own meet-up, but you’ll be with retiree friends and colleagues during your visit.

Current museum ticket prices (Senior rates):

Booth Western Art Museum — $11

            Savoy Automobile Museum — $15

            Tellus Science Museum — $15

We will meet for lunch and a short program on the Georgia Highlands College (GHC) campus. We will be welcomed by the Cartersville Campus Dean, Dr. Leslie Johnson.

  • The charge for the boxed lunch is $12/person. To reserve your box lunch, contact mmcody50@gmail.com by October 27.
