Spring 2021 Virtual Meeting


We will have our online meeting Friday, April 23, 10 am – 1 pm.

The featured speaker is Jeff Bird, a specialist in senior living who will talk about Aging in Place (the Senior Continuum) and the COVID-19 Impact – see attached bio. 

After the presentation and during our time for lunch, each of us will be assigned a breakout room where we can extend the discussion to help schools determine what aging-in-place (or other) activities to offer their members during the pandemic. 

Gray Crouse, Director of the Emeritus College at Emory, will host our Zoom meeting.  Also, please notify Gray (gcrouse@emory.edu) if you would like to make a brief presentation about an innovative best practice.

This virtual meeting will feature George Brown who will present practical steps on how to be a successful Armchair Traveler when real travel is impossible as well as ideas for resuming travel when it is safe to do so. The presentation will be one hour followed by breakout rooms to discuss virtual travel ideas and ways that we can share these ideas with our groups.

At Senior University of Greater Atlanta (su-ga.org) George Brown is presenting a weekly Armchair Traveler via Zoom. You can get a preview of George by watching his Armchair Traveler presentations at 9:30 – 10:30 am on zoom every Tuesday through November 10. He is the past president and CEO of the Friendship Force.
